Active Ankle Volt Ankle Brace - SIZE: Small, COLOR: Black Reviews
Son (6-5, 190 pounds) was entering "college scout phase" of summer basketball season and was nursing a sprained ankle (again) while coming off a 10-day vacation in Carribean. He needed to have his ankle(s) taped to ensure he could play without further injury, but I didn't know how to tape (tried it once but failed), nor coaches, nor are such services offered at tournament venues. Decided to research braces and found these. Ordered a pair, arrived in 3 days...hours before his first game later that evening. He went on to play 7 games in 3 days without incident. A little rubbing on inside, lower base of one foot, but otherwise he seemed to play with comfort and minimal, if any reduction in performance. GLAD I got these!

Prompt - dlharrsn -The package arrive today and I was surprised at how quick the company worked. I was not happy with the pad at the bottom of the brace but that is an easy fix and it is more so a personal choice. Other than that I am happy.

I purchased this brace to stabilize a weak ankle. I was intrigued by the claim of carbon fiber reinforcement. The brace turned out to be ridiculously flimsy. The stiff upper piece that 'appears' to be carbon fiber is very sturdy - and made more so by the Velcro wrap. However the lower portion where the carbon fiber should have been provides no stability whatsoever. I can literally bend the lower plastic leg section laterally a full 90 degrees with little to no effort. This brace went straight to the trash can.
